Image of the Month: Dr Mark Weatherall

Our Image of the Month depicts Dr Mark Weatherall, chairing our Wellcome Witness Seminar on 'Migraine: Diagnosis, Treatment and Understanding c.1960–2010'. 

Dr Weatherall MB BC FRCPEdin PhD is a Consultant Neurologist at Charing Cross and Ealing Hospitals, council member of the British Association for the Study of Headache, a Trustee of the Migraine Trust, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. Before studying clinical medicine at Cambridge, he was a historian of medicine with interests in the development of the medical sciences and medical education between 1800 and 1950. He lectures on the emergence of modern medicine at Imperial College, London, and is currently researching the meanings of headache in the journals of Dorothy Wordsworth and the novels of Wilkie Collins.
